I have never sailed
the seven seas
breathing the salt air
and watching starlight
guide a mermaid into
calmer waters
and letting intuition
guide me to islands
and lands unknown
with spices
and sensual delights
never known to simple men
before the nights
when they hoisted anchor
and took to the waves
but I have known
their greatest pleasures
and ventured in strange lands
and peeked at the world
we never knew existed
behind the green door.
